Geometric wallpaper dining room
Wymondham, NR18 2 days Repeating geometric, paste-the-wall vinyl

The brief
A 1930s dining room in Wymondham with a chimney breast, two alcoves and picture rail. Geometric papers are the least forgiving pattern there is, so the client wanted someone who hangs paper regularly rather than occasionally.
How it was done
- Checked every wall for plumb first, because geometrics follow the paper, not the building.
- Lined the alcoves where the old plaster was patchy.
- Started centred on the chimney breast so the pattern reads symmetrically from the doorway.
- Butt-joined each seam wet and rolled the joints once only, to avoid polishing the ink.
The finish
Seams are invisible at arm's length and the pattern runs true around the chimney breast and into both alcoves.
